The Ector County Library is hosting Halloween In The Park from 4-7pm at Noel Heritage Park. You can enjoy spooky treats, games, and books. Don’t forget your costume! Free event.

OCT 29 • Malloween at Music City Mall @ Music City Mall
Visit Music City Mall for Malloween! Merchants will be handing out free candy. You can also enjoy a 360 selfie station to capture those fun costumes.

OCT 29 • Halloween Drive-in Movie Bash @ Big Sky Drive-In
Throw on your best costume and get ready for a night of free movies at the Big Sky Drive-In! Movies being featured are Hotel Translyvanie & How To Train Your Dragon, Sonic & Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Pokemon Detective Pikachu & Tom and Jerry. Movies begin at nightfall (around 7:25pm). OCT 31 •  Treats on  The Streets  @ Downtown Odessa
Downtown businesses have come together to offer a fun and safe environment for community members to #GetDowntown and trick-or-treat with lots of goodies! #GetDowntown from 4-7pm and pickup a stamp page from local businesses participating. Visit at least ten local businesses and get your page stamped, then visit the Downtown Odessa, Inc. table to enter your stamp page for an entry into our giveaways. Free event

    The Bridge Pumpkin Patch benefits the West Texas Food Bank and Bridge Kids Ministries. Prices start at just $1 and go up from there!

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican holiday where families honor their departed loved ones who have passed.

Sign up for the Dia De Los Muertos themed Downtown Art Tour on OCT 28, where you will get to learn about the history while touring 5 different locations in Downtown Odessa.
The tour includes stops:

  1. The Ector Theatre – UTPB Mariachi and UTPB Ballet Folklorico will be performing traditional songs and dances which provides an educational socio-cultural space for guests that is translated through their performance.
  2. Copper Key Realty – Guests will use their creativity to paint sugar skulls to take home and eat traditional pan dulce bread provided by La Fiesta Bakery.
  3. Side Bar & Grill – Enjoy spooky drinks, learn history of the ofrenda, and enjoy music by Erik & Adrian Madrid
  4. Torchy’s Tacos – Taste test a variety of salsas and learn how to create a recipe and after enjoy a salsa dancing demonstration
  5. Odessa Marriott – Enjoy a craft cocktail demonstration and music performed by violinist.

The Ellen Noël Art Museum will be hosting their annual Dia De Los Muertos Free Community Art Day on OCT 29! Learn about the customs and traditions of the holiday while enjoying hands-on art activities, special dance performance by Viva Mexico Ballet Folkloric Dancers, and musical performance by Mariachi Armonia. Dress up is encouraged.

The Hispanic Heritage of Odessa is hosting their annual Dia De Los Muertos Parade on OCT 29. The parade begins at 6 PM at La Hacienda Vieja – After the parade, head over to the Noel Heritage Plaza at 301 W 5th St for Kids Activities, Mariachi, Awards for the Parade, and end the evening with a movie in the park!

Enjoy a Dia De Los Muertos Brunch at the Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center on OCT 30 at 10AM. Celeberate  with face painting , coloring pages, and a delicious brunch. Reservations only!
