Halston: Inventing American Fashion

Celebrate the legacy of Roy Halston Frowick, known simply as Halston, whose innovative approach redefined American fashion. From sleek silhouettes to iconic designs, this exhibition showcases how Halston’s work left an indelible mark on style worldwide. Don’t miss this landmark exhibition—the perfect combination of art, history, and glamour.
1968: A Folsom Redemption
December 6th – March 15th, 2025
1968: A Folsom Redemption commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of this landmark event, bringing together a remarkable collection of photographs and memories captured by freelance journalists Dan Poush and Gene Beley. This traveling exhibition presents thirty-one photographs that range from backstage encounters with Cash’s family and friends to intimate exchanges with fellow performers, including rising country star Merle Haggard.

•Night at the Museum
Every Third Thursday of the month, visit the Museum for a Members-Only Night at the Museum! Each event has something different to offer for Members, including art activities, exclusive tours, programs, family and friends nights, and more! To become a Member, click here.
•Art Talk
Engage with a piece from the Permanent Collection and enhance your visual literacy skills. Discuss, interpret, and explore art with fellow enthusiasts in a thought-provoking evening of discovery.
•Knit & Stitch
Whether you’re a knitter, quilter, or just curious about fiber arts, this is your space to create, share, and learn. Bring your current projects or start something new—everyone is welcome.
•Art Tales
For preschoolers ages 3-5 and their grown-ups, this free event combines storytelling with hands-on art projects. Join us at 1:00 PM to inspire creativity in little ones through narrative and play.
•Adventures in Art
Students ages 6-12 can tour current exhibitions and create related art projects in monthly studio classes. Classes are $20 each, with scholarships available for those who qualify.
•Adventures in Art for Sensory Artists
Register for our themed, monthly studio-style classes where students can create art projects in a calm and relaxed, sensory-friendly environment. Classes are $20.
•Yoga at the Museum
Start your Wednesday mornings with a calming members-only yin yoga class at 8:00 AM, provided by rOming Yoga. Bring your mat and prepare to center yourself in a serene, art-filled environment.
Grand Opening: A Cultural Milestone
The Ellen Noël Art Museum has long been a cornerstone of Odessa’s arts and culture scene. With its growing community and expanding programs, the museum has outgrown its previous space. The renovation and expansion, culminating in the December 6 reopening, ensures the museum can continue to inspire, educate, and serve the people of the Permian Basin for years to come.
